Accessibility statement
Solar Export Rates Scotland is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of technology or ability. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
Measures we take
- Keyboard navigation — every page can be navigated using a keyboard alone. A “skip to main content” link appears on focus at the top of every page.
- Colour contrast — text meets a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against its background. Interactive elements meet 3:1 against adjacent colours.
- Focus indicators — all focusable elements display a visible focus ring so keyboard users can track their position on the page.
- Reduced motion — animations and transitions are disabled when a visitor has enabled the “prefers-reduced-motion” setting in their operating system or browser.
- Semantic markup — pages use appropriate headings, landmarks and ARIA attributes to work well with screen readers and assistive technology.
- Touch targets — buttons and interactive areas are at least 24px in size on all devices.
Known limitations
We are aware that some third-party embeds (such as video players, if present) may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We choose services with the best available accessibility support and will update as better options become available.
